The Youl Family Reunion - the aftermath

A special thanks to everyone that helped organise a very succesful weekend. The feedback from the event was fantastic. For all those wishing to see some photos from the various days why not take a look at the gallery.

You can click on the photos and enlarge them to full size and download them yourself or contact Ross Marsden, who for a small fee will print and mail the photos to you.

The family celebrated 200 years since The reverend John Youl arrived in Australia, his descendants attended a Twilight gathering at "Leighlands," Perth, Tasmania on Friday March 28th, a Thanksgiving Service at St Johns Church, Launceston on Saturday March 29th, and A Family Celebration Lunch at the original Youl family property "Symmons Plains," Perth, Tasmania on Sunday March 30th.

Thanks must go to the respective owners of the Youl properties (Youl descendants) for allowing the reunion to happen.

Bob Starling, ( a descendant of Reverend John) has written a brief narrative of the Reverend John's life which you can view on the history page.
With Bob's permission we may offer a pdf download of the more detailed account of his experiences in and around the early colony
